Department of Fisheries

The department of Fisheries offers a Diploma program in Fisheries (2 years) and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (4 years). This course provides good employment opportunities. Students will be exposed to a range of subjects varying from cultivation of aquatic species, hatchery, aquaculture economics, basic knowledge of pathology and ability of provide a diagnosis, prevention and control of parasitic diseases, use of drugs and chemicals, fish feed production and formulation, farm management, fishing business, fish market as well as conservation of natural resources and environment. Students can gain more hands-on experience by participating in one of many leadership-oriented-fisheries enterprises.
